Wild Ride Event Overview
The Wild Ride began in 2000 and is one of South Africa’s oldest eco-adventure mountain bike stage events. It takes place on the unspoilt eastern shores of South Africa and covers nearly 200km of the pristine ‘wild coast’ between The Great Kei and Umngazi Rivers.
Race Information
The 2026 Wild Ride powered by NUVO® will take place from 25th – 29th July.
Participants will register in Morgan Bay on Sat 25th July and the event starts on Sunday 26th July to finish at Umngazi on Wednesday 29th July.
The Route
The Wild Ride route is just that.. wild ! From exhilarating, hard packed long beaches to soft sandy patches, river crossings, some hefty hills and portages, it is certainly physically demanding and rewarding.
